Bunny Trail

This was a great Easter since Max is getting older, we had an enjoyable time. It was really low key. We just enjoyed the time together.

Jumping=fun

Last Monday night we were making cookies, but Max saw the kids next door jumping on the trampoline and he really, REALLY wanted to jump. He first wanted to go "side" or outside and so we let him go, then he ran to the edge of the fence and was peeking between the two fences to see them jump. For the next 1o minutes he would go back and forth and would come and say jump "peese, peese" and would run back out the door like he was going to miss something. So, finally (at 7:30) Clu decided that we would take him jumping (no, the cookies weren't done, we just put the dough in the fridge) and off we went. The jumping place wasn't far from our house and Max was free! He LOVED it and for days after kept saying "jumping...fun".

Easter Dresses

A fond memory of mine is always getting a matching Easter dress with my sister. On Easter Sunday we would get all dressed up with our hair curled and get our pictures taken. Well, this year, my mom has done it again...my sister and I got matching Easter dresses. Too bad we don't live closer so we can get all dressed up, curl our hair (now put on make-up) and get our pictures taken. I guess these cute pictures of Max in his Easter clothes (worn this past weekend since Easter Sunday he won't wear them) will have to do.

Yes, this kid is ALWAYS carrying around cars.

Jam Packed

We headed back to SG this past weekend and everytime we go we never get enough family time, but it was jam packed with fun. The main reason we went was to honor Gma Squire as the 2010 Orchid Lady and G&G Squires 67th wedding anniversary. It was so nice to hear all about G&G's life and accomplishments. They are amazing, wonderful people. We are so lucky to be a part of their lives. Here are some of the SG activites (and wonderful weather):

Max and Papa watering the garden

Playing with Cousins and making leprechaun dessert

Adding the "gold" dust to the magic leprechaun pudding

Trying to get all the energy out (it didn't work, Max still didn't take a nap). Maybe it was cause Nanny & Papa spoil him.

Trying on Nannies Mardi Gras mask

After the Orchild Lady Program, the Squire Family

Max with G&G Squire

Meg & Dayna

Clu, Max & Gma Snow (doesn't Clu look just like her).

"side"

Max asks all day long to go "side" or outside. He wants to go and play in the backyard. It is so nice having a fenced in backyard, even if it is small. He runs and plays while staying contained. Oh the joys of watching an almost 2 yr. old play!
Playing with his "bike"

Everything but the Kitchen sink

There are a lot of things I like about our house, BUT the kitchen sink was not one of them. The sink was very shallow at a whopping 5.5 inches deep. Everytime I did dishes or turned the sink on the water would splash up and all over the counter and floor. We got this beautiful sink as a gift and I couldn't wait for Clu to put it in. We have had it for a couple of weeks, but waited for the painting to be done (so he could get the old sink dirty).

BEFORE (with my worker bees):

. Clu has worked his tail off making this sink perfect for me (there were a lot of problems with the old one, including a leak that Clu also fixed)!

AFTER:

We ALL love the deep sink!
Showing I can hide dirty dishes in my sink. Yeah!
Max calls it the "bass" (bath) sink.

Gettin' Comfy

This was max at storytime during the puppet show today:
Max is in the white shirt, up front.

Max loves storytime and we faithfully go every week. He loves Mr. Dallin, who reminds me EXACTLY of my brother Zac (on a mission in Taiwan). After storytime Max goes and sits by Mr. Dallin (who with Miss Teresa do storytime) on the steps and visits with him. Mr. Dallin so kindly visits, gives high fives, knuckles and laughs with him.
