Goodbye 627 east

Dear 627 East:

We are so sad to be leaving you. We have lived here for a long time and this is the only house that Max knows. We have made SO many wonderful memories, but the time has come to part ways and make more memories some where else. Be good to those that are to come and always remember us.

Love,
C, M&M

and so we are putting down new roots....

My little helper

A couple of days ago I was packing boxes and turned around to see Max doing the same. He was packing up his little car. Guess he is excited to go.

He also loves to play around with dad. Dad puts him in the bags and carries him around the house. Now he loves to climb in and out of all the bag that are around.

Our bags are packed...

and we're ready to go...We close this week! Clu asked for Salt yesterday and I had already packed it. I guess I was a little ambitious. I was afraid that I might not have it packed and ready to go. We are going to be gone most of the month of July and so I wanted to be moved by the 1st (even though we weren't supposed to close until July 3rd). Instead EVERYTHING is packed and are just waiting for the loan docs to get here. Poor Max doesn't know if this is his house or not. He looks around with a puzzled look. Moving day is Saturday thanks to the "Stucki scratch-n-dent crew."Max has found many new places to play (too bad they are nice and dirty but he loves it).

Goin' to the Zoo

This was little Max-sters 1st trip to the Zoo. We only got to stay for 4 hours (due to the MAJOR need for a nap). We went with Nana Deb; cousin Alicia and her kids, Preston and Ashlynn; and Jane and her granddaughter Ellie. Max loved the Giraffes. He thought they were pretty cool. He kept saying "WOW"! Wish we could've seen all the animals, but I guess that gives us another reason to go back. We didn't even make it out of the parking lot before Max was out.

on the move...again

I am a little hesitate to post this, but I am so excited I can't wait! This is going to be our new HOME*!

This will be move #8 since we got married 8yrs ago (it gets better, we have lived in the condo for the past 3yrs so 7 of our moves were in the first 5 years)! We are professional movers (if you need any advice...just get rid of it). As most of you know Clu has been commuting as I have been in search of the perfect house, and I think that we have found one pretty close. I am SO sad to be leaving the Salt Lake Valley, but I know that we will plant roots and be able to spend more time as a family. We will be closing on our home at the end of this month! After 7 LONG months of searching we have found a great home for our little family (backyard here we come)!

*I hope I will not be posting a retraction, but if I do we will be back to the perfect house hunt.

On the Road...again

For Memorial weekend we visited Clu's family in Arizona. What a great quick getaway. It was a long drive, but beautiful scenery makes it go by a little faster. We went to the flea market (we were a little early at 11am! Most people apparently aren't up and going by then), spent time with Clu's mother and even stopped by to see his grandparents. Max was a total trooper in the car. The ride home took 11 hours compared to the normal travel time of only 8 (we won't be traveling through price on that day again)! Max didn't get upset until we hit Provo and on our way back from G&G McDonald's and stuck in traffic (at a stand still for two hours) he didn't cry once even although he was hungry! The nice truck driver next to us offered us his "silk" milk for Max, but he was okay for the time being - it is so great to know that we still have good people out there.

Morning with the Birds

While Hayden was having a special sleep over at Grandma's house we went to the Tracy Aviary. The boys were really interested in all the birds, Max loved to watch the peacocks and flamingos. Hayden loved the Bald Eagle. He said it was "looking serious". The boys watching the peacock (Hayden is taking a picture with his pretend camera).

Bird watching
The "boys" (the male peacock is struting his stuff)
Grandma taking Hayden to the Bald Eagle
Reading about the birds
Hayden was sure that he was just as tall as the tallest bird. He is "so big".

After a morning with the birds

B-day #2

In SG the birthday was low key. We had the all the family there and had cake and ice cream (thanks to uncle marcus....and blue bunny) Max wasn't so cure about the cake (it was costco cake with the big blobs of icing balloons) Uncle Marcus teasing Max

Max ate a little and played with the rest

Throwing the cake

(check out some of the mess on the ground)

Yeah, it was really fun to clean up the mess. He had it everywhere!

We brought the bath to him, outside. He loved splashing (you can see the ground all wet. By the time Clu was done he was soaked too)

Thanks Uncle Lee and Aunt Tia! He loves his car

He couldn't wait to play with it

Riding on his new car
Checking out the wheels
It was a lot of fun to watch Max dig into the cake and laugh about it.
