Decorating Eggs

We waited for daddy to have a night off so that we could dye eggs together and we were sure glad we did. It is always fun to do things as a family. Clu and Max both like hard boiled eggs so we made sure we made plenty which meant plenty of decorating.

Skiing

Back in February Clu, some of his brothers and his dad planned to go skiing. It started that all the brothers were coming but then with family, work and sickness ti quickly changed. Clu had been looking forward to this trip for weeks if not months, but with his luck he came down with a severe cold, ear infection and strep throat. The first ski day he couldn't get out of bed he was so miserable, but the next he just couldn't miss the fun. Up to the resort they all went just in time to find out that it was too windy and the lifts were closed. They were all bummed but spent time together anyway.  My favorite part of Clu getting together with his dad and brothers is the laughing that is NON-STOP and the jokes that are hilarious.

Clu and Steve still got to the slopes just a few weeks later. They weren't going to let a beautiful day pass by without going.

Glad they had fun. Oh and you can hear Clu and his dad laughing (my favorite) in the background.

R.I.P.

Let us start with a moment of silence for the dearly departed.....

I am not exact on the details but somehow he was rear-ended (only a little ding in the bumper) and then rolled the truck. Everyone in the truck was wearing seat belts. He had passengers and all walked away with just scrapes and one with a sore back. It is a MIRACLE for them but ol' blue didn't fare so well. We are so sad to see him go. He was a part of the family, everyone knew that truck and who it belonged too. Clu has driven him all over with over 270,000 miles. You knew that he would go out with a big bang, there was no other way that would be so fitting.  The engine was in great condition but the top wasn't.

He will truly be missed (as I am wiping tears away).  What are your stories with this great truck, I am sure Clu would love to hear them?
