House of Sickies, part 2

We obviously had a blast (last post), but then the sickness got worse and worse. My mom loved snuggling both the kids while they were sick, and I was really glad to have her help. When both the kids were up at night she took one and I took the other. As Tali's got worse, I just slept with her on my chest so the congestion wouldn't settle and I could keep an eye on her. Max's last about 4 days but Tali is finally getting over hers (she got it the worst) and back to her little happy self.
Nanny and Tali Snuggling
Poor girl
It breaks my heart but I love the snuggles
I love her deep brown eyes, they were so sad while she was sick
Max finally started to feel better so I had him make a birthday card for Gma Esplin. As he was coloring with "special markers" I was taking care of Tali. After about 10 minutes Max came in to show me, not his card but his hands
He told me that he wanted to be Spider-man and so he needed blue hands. He thought the blue marker would help him have blue hands  and shoot things out of them. How can you get mad at an imagination like that. Way to go Spidey!
Aunt Misty feeding Tali. She can't get enough of Tali and was glad to feed her, (By the way I made the pinafore Tali is wearing late one night).
After a whole week of sickness and being in the house, Max was ready to be outside. He went and helped Papa in the garden. After a while he came in the house and said that he needed a snack of peeps. Nannie and Papa are softies and he got just what he wanted. Not one peep....
not two peeps....
but the WHOLE package!
We were planing on heading home on Friday but the kids were too sick to travel. We waited until Sunday and even then we had trouble with ears.
The kids were glad to be in their own beds. Max got a full night sleep first time in two weeks!

House of Sickies, part 1

It seems like we can't stay well at our house, we just continue to pass the bug around and back to the start again. We thought the kids were on the mend and so we headed to SG to watch Emma be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was great to see Emma make that choice, but the kids went down hill on Sunday. Their colds went from almost gone to absolutely terrible, turning into croup, ear infections and a nasty virus that turns into RSV.

The Baptism was beautiful and we had the chance to see family and visit. All the brothers and sisters stayed at my parents house. We knew it would be cHaOs but thought that this will be the last time we could, soon we will be too big. The kids played and played and didn't want to go to sleep. So glad we have so many cousins, the kids can't wait to see them.
You can't stay at Nannies and Papa's without a bath in the sink.
Ready for the day in her Africa dress, thanks G&G Snow

Great G&G Esplin

The most AMAZING woman in the world, my best girl friend and my sister Atia.
This girl is a ball full of happiness but only laughs for her daddy.

So glad the kids had fun before the illness became terrible. It started Saturday night when Tali woke up crying  and quickly got worse.
