On the Road...again

For Memorial weekend we visited Clu's family in Arizona. What a great quick getaway. It was a long drive, but beautiful scenery makes it go by a little faster. We went to the flea market (we were a little early at 11am! Most people apparently aren't up and going by then), spent time with Clu's mother and even stopped by to see his grandparents. Max was a total trooper in the car. The ride home took 11 hours compared to the normal travel time of only 8 (we won't be traveling through price on that day again)! Max didn't get upset until we hit Provo and on our way back from G&G McDonald's and stuck in traffic (at a stand still for two hours) he didn't cry once even although he was hungry! The nice truck driver next to us offered us his "silk" milk for Max, but he was okay for the time being - it is so great to know that we still have good people out there.

He threw the phone on the floor to try and reach the light switch to play with it. His efforts were in vain. He still couldn't reach the switch.

Morning with the Birds

While Hayden was having a special sleep over at Grandma's house we went to the Tracy Aviary. The boys were really interested in all the birds, Max loved to watch the peacocks and flamingos. Hayden loved the Bald Eagle. He said it was "looking serious". The boys watching the peacock (Hayden is taking a picture with his pretend camera).

Bird watching
The "boys" (the male peacock is struting his stuff)
Grandma taking Hayden to the Bald Eagle
Reading about the birds
Hayden was sure that he was just as tall as the tallest bird. He is "so big".

After a morning with the birds

B-day #2

In SG the birthday was low key. We had the all the family there and had cake and ice cream (thanks to uncle marcus....and blue bunny) Max wasn't so cure about the cake (it was costco cake with the big blobs of icing balloons) Uncle Marcus teasing Max

Max ate a little and played with the rest

Throwing the cake

(check out some of the mess on the ground)

Yeah, it was really fun to clean up the mess. He had it everywhere!

We brought the bath to him, outside. He loved splashing (you can see the ground all wet. By the time Clu was done he was soaked too)

Thanks Uncle Lee and Aunt Tia! He loves his car

He couldn't wait to play with it

Riding on his new car
Checking out the wheels
It was a lot of fun to watch Max dig into the cake and laugh about it.

We Love PINK!!

On Saturday; we got up bright and early (along with Aunt Deb) to support our very own PHYLLIS in Race for the Cure. She is such an amazing mother/M-I-L, grandmother, sister/sis-in-law (SIL) and friend! This May is her 10 yr. anniversary as a breast cancer survivor! She is such a fighter and example to overcome all of it and to still be here for of us. We love you!!
