R.I.P.

Let us start with a moment of silence for the dearly departed.....

I am not exact on the details but somehow he was rear-ended (only a little ding in the bumper) and then rolled the truck. Everyone in the truck was wearing seat belts. He had passengers and all walked away with just scrapes and one with a sore back. It is a MIRACLE for them but ol' blue didn't fare so well. We are so sad to see him go. He was a part of the family, everyone knew that truck and who it belonged too. Clu has driven him all over with over 270,000 miles. You knew that he would go out with a big bang, there was no other way that would be so fitting.  The engine was in great condition but the top wasn't.

He will truly be missed (as I am wiping tears away).  What are your stories with this great truck, I am sure Clu would love to hear them?

Special Church

On Sunday we went to Daddy's "special church". That is what Max calls it but, Clu has been called to be a counselor in a YSA/college ward bishopric. Since we were all ready on time (a miracle), we quickly got a family picture. It is not perfect or even close but at least it is a family picture with everyone dressed and looking at the camera.

As for the calling, it will keep Clu extremely busy. Max has not been happy about that. He does not want to share his daddy with anyone. He loves to go to the activities, introduce himself and give knuckles; but wants his daddy home to play chase, legos and hide-n-seek. Tali is fine with anything and we haven taken her out a little. She has started back to church whether the dr's or I like it (I don't have a choice if I want Max to go). Clu wishes that he could come home and put his PJ's on after church but he spends about 12 to 14 hours at the chapel on Sundays. I try not to rub it in (too much anyway) the kids come home and jump into the comfy clothes.

Just like papa

Nannie and Papa came to visit this past weekend. It was full of fun things including making Tali an Easter dress, going to a BYU Basketball game and hanging out. Amazing as it sounds we did all of this in one day. We sure love visitors!
The morning started with Max running downstairs to see Nannie and Papa. He got the Ipad and Papa had the Iphone and they were set. max was playing games while watching a movie with Papa.

The dress we made, the rose and the thing hanging is the head band that will match the dress. I wanted a really simple dress and that is what I got. Perfect! I remember my sister and I wearing matching dresses once a year, Easter. Most if not all were made by grandma E. Too bad Tali doesn't get an Easter dress from her, but her blessing dress was.
My sister made me this stitch and I turned it into a pillow. It needs a little more stuffing but I didn't have it and the store was closed (it was 11:30pm) so this will have to do for now.
The game: Max was so excited and the fans were so loud he would cover his ears. The man in front of us kept yelling at the refs and Max would tell him to be nice and you wouldn't want someone to say that to him. I guess he listens when we talk, but hasn't learned tact yet.
Tali couldn't get enough of the game and the fans. She kept clapping an jabbering and watching Cosmo.

a First

When Tali took a morning nap Max and I would have "preschool". We would work on learning things and have one on one time. Now that Max is getting older and Tali is no longer taking morning naps, we have started doing a preschool with some of the other kids in the neighborhood. On the first day he kept running around the house saying "I am so excited to go to school", "I can't wait to go to school", "Can we go yet".

He is saying "hurrah it is time to go".
When it was finally time, he got his backpack (which he told me makes him special) and we headed out the door. He has sure grown and is loving every second of school.

demolition

The house to the South of us was torn down due to its poor condition that was too costly to repair. Max and Tali loved watching the digger tear it down and push the trees over.

We went outside and watched for awhile but it got too dusty and so we headed back into the house and watched from the bedroom window.

I popped some popcorn and let them enjoy the show. Max sat and watched for over 45 minutes, but Tali found a basket that was perfect for a purse (her moms girl) and decided to walk around with it instead!

Playin' around

Tali is now old enough that Max can tease and play with her.
He loves to rub his head on her tummy and hear her giggle. She knows how to play cars and make sounds while she does. You know the important stuff... playing with the cars, trucks and blocks. It is amazing that she still knows how to rock a baby since the only thing she sees is Max doing boy things like shooting, playing with swords and playing dead (like in the end of the video).

Rockin' my baby

As I was working on dinner I noticed Tali in her rocking chair. A moment later she got out, got her baby doll and got back in the chair. She started singing and rocking her baby.

She loves to climb in her rocking chair and rock but this is the first time that she had her baby too. She is growing so fast, I just can't stand it. She has taken off with her sign language and is copying everything that you do.
She signs: more, please, eat, leche, banana, mom, light, fire and a few more (if she wants to me hold her she will crawl over and grab my pant, then sign please -momma).
Says: Momma, Dad, wow, ba-ba, meow, ruff and rawr
Loves: to play with Max, wave good-bye, get into cupboards and mom's shoes, eat, sing and have a shower.
I can't imagine life with out this busy little bug!
