Trouble

Trouble with a capital T!

What a weekend

I love weekends like this, in which we are very productive! After house hunting all day on Friday, I came home very disappointed and discouraged. Clu suggested that we get a couple of things done around the house and after spring cleaning and some minor home improvements, I am ready to get back in the game. Our to do list included: purchasing and installing a new washing machine (thanks for the help Marcus), putting knobs on all the cabinets, cleaning windows, cupboards, floors, the laundry room and a few other disinfecting tasks. It feels so good to have all of these projects done. I can't wait to start Monday's project; cleaning the deck and planting flowers while Clu sprays for bugs. When the rain and snow finally stops, it will be a great place for Max to play.

In the midst of all the projects, Clu made Max an extra special "fort" (which I am not allowed in). It was great because that kept max entertained the WHOLE day! and... Max figured out that he can hitch a ride on the vacuum. All in all it was a BLAST (but I wouldn't recommend it every weekend).

Rub-a-dub-dub....

Two kiddos in the tub. Max was REALLY dirty and so he needed a bath and why not share the fun.Mr. Curious was into everything, but Chloe was content to just sit and watch.

Bowling Bambino

We went bowling with the fam. while in SG and we had a friendly competition. The Winner got a special prize, a "fiver". Of Course, Mr. Bowling league himself won (and I of course, came in dead last). Lots of fun and plenty of gutter balls (from me).

It was so much fun! I will need a little more practice before we go again

**Thanks for being such a great sport Lee!

A little late....

A little late, but still so much fun to watch. He has been crawling for a couple of weeks and is now walking along furniture and climbing on things. Oh the joy of DISCOVERY!

Mr. Mischief

This little guy is into everything. Dumped out the toy boxAt least he played with the toys for a minute. He found the heater cord (it was not plugged in). He LOVES to play with cords. He also took Zac's letter and hid it under the chopping block. I just found it when I downloaded this picture. Now he has found the cord to the blinds and put it in his mouth. It must taste pretty good.
(Don't worry he was being supervised in all his mischief - I really need a nap.)

"this is it?"

I called my mom today and told her what my day consisted of: Nothing (or so I felt). I told her that I have been chasing after a VERY busy 9 month old and have tried to clean, do laundry, look for a new house, organize in hopes to pack boxes; but all to no avail. My laundry is still there and my house is still a mess. She told me that "NO, you have been 'working at your trade' (which is what her mother called it)". She said that I am doing the most important work that I can do and that I am so lucky to be able to be at home so that I don't miss the important stuff. As I reflected on what she said, I realized that I am SO lucky to be able to stay at home with Max. If I didn't stay at home I would be missing all the important stuff. In a matter of 7 days Max has really gotten the hang of crawling and is climbing and walking along furniture. Just the past two days (after much practice) has learned how to sit down after standing up. So, to all you mothers who feel you have done "nothing" today... remember that you are “workin’ at your trade” – the hardest work of all!

(My friend, Carrie and I are on the same wave length. Check out her thoughts about being a stay at home mom.)

Old McDonald

Max loves to read books and this is one of his favorites. He has just started singing along with Clu (especially when it is time for the sheep).

Update: He is now singing along with the cows too!
