Photo Shoot

Thanks to my sweet sister in-law Erika - Max, Clu and I had a little photo shoot. The pictures turned out great - she has such a talent! Here are a couple of the photos:
Max & Dad - they are quite the pair already
(can't wait till it is time to teach little Max how to golf!)
Max & Mom - I just look at him and still can't believe he is really ours!
We are so blessed!
This is our little boy!

The Details

The day before little Max was born, my poor computer died! It was a tradegy at our house! I stay connected to the world through the computer - I pay bills, e-mail, shop, etc. This is why you have not seen any more adorable pictures of little Max. We are in the process of getting a new computer, but until then the posts might be few and far between.

I am sure that all would like to hear the details and so here they are:
On Thursday I went to the doctor and found that I was dialatedto a 4+ and my contractions were about 2-3 mintues apart. The doctor sent me to the hospital to be induced and have the baby that day! We got to the hospital and I was induced at about 1pm. From there things went pretty quick. At 6pm I was dialated to a 10 and then it was time to have little Max. Then about 2 hours later, little Max was here. Everything went well and we are both doing great! He is such an angel - the only time he cries is when he gets a bath or has his diaper changed.
Proud daddy and Baby Max! I don't think that his smile could get any bigger that night!

Mom and baby - It was still a little surreal - our baby is really here! When he was first born he looked just like me. Now he is starting to look like a good mix of both or us.

Baby Max after he was first born. We were showing off his cute fingers and toes and of course all that dark hair.

Max is so much fun! Clu and I are loving life! He has brought so much joy into our lives. We love you Baby Max!

The Graduates!

It is official; Clu and I are BOTH graduates! Clu has had his degree for awhile, but I just finished my last semester. It was a pretty brutal one! I had two math classes! My statistics class I dreaded and so I saved that for the very end, but at the last minute I found out that I needed to retake my math 1050 class. It had been too long since I had taken it last (over 7 years). Thanks to my sweet husband, I was able to pass both classes with flying colors! He is so good at math and volunteered to be my tutor. Some of the other kids in class wanted to pay him to be their tutor, but I told them that I was not sharing. He was so patient and helped me understand the concepts! Thanks sweetie!

- Clu graduated with a B.S. in Economics and minors in Finance and Spanish
- Megan graduated with a B.S. in Consumer & Community Studies with a minor in Human Development

Thank you for all of your love and support as we have been in school!

Goodnight - Sleeptight!

A couple of weeks ago Fran and Phyllis were sewing up a storm for the babies room. We had a sewing day and made the bedskirt, bumperpads, and pillows for the bedroom. It has turned out SO cute! I love it! Don't worry... I have a couple of ideas and plans up my sleeve to turn it into a girls room with just a couple of minor tweaks (Yes, we will be having a girl - someday). I wanted to show off all of their hard work and how good it looks. I am so lucky to have such a great mothers! Thanks for all the help! Phyllis was a champ and worked on the bumper pad (it was a nightmare, but looks fabulous!) Fran did the bed skirt and the pillows. (Can you see Clu's ugly dolls peeking out above the bumper pads - he has already put them in the crib.) Fran has all these great ideas that have translated into a wonderful babies room! I can't believe how great it looks - This is truely design on a dime! Thanks MOM!!!!!!

This is the place where our little guy will lay his head. Hopefully all through the night.

This is the book nook. It is not quite done, but I am sure that he is not going to be sitting on it for awhile. The book shelf came from Phyllis. We are going to paint it white and put a seat cushion down. I just have to get Clu in the mood for some painting. It may take awhile. Baby CJ has plenty of books thanks to my mom and Deb.

This is his dresser and changing pad (we made)!

I saved the best for last! This is what baby bug got from Grandma and Grandpa Snow for Christmas (spoiled little guy!) It has been hanging on the wall since! I just love it! I know that our little guy will not have curly blonde hair, and maybe not that light of skin, but it makes me think of him everytime I see it! She must've spent months and months on it! It is proudly hanging above the crib (until he starts to grab at it and then it will be time to move it to another wall). Thanks Phyllis! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!
