Family Photos

It is crazy trying to take family pictures. Clu and Max are not a fans of holding still to get the perfect shot, but I think that they turned out.

Farewell & Fair well Zac

Zac entered the MTC (aka penitentiary) today. He couldn't wait! We know that he is doing exactly what he wants and we are so happy for him. We will miss him, but know that he will be back soon. Here is a recap of his farewell party... Lots of food and great people!Workin' in the kitchen. Lee the chefGrandpa Esplin, Zac and Emma waiting for the grub. Saturday is a special day....

it's the day we get ready for Sunday. At our house this includes a haircut. Max's hair grows like a weed and we are continually cutting it. Now that he can sit up it is a little easier to cut his hair. Clu is getting really good at cutting his hair and keeping him busy at the same time. This is also his favorite place to bathe. He sits in the sink and reaches for anything around. He is a busy one.

'Get Soon' - Thanks Misty!

My mom went over to my grandma's house and my Aunt Misty (who has down syndrome) asked where Max was, she had something for him and handed my mom a green envelope with Max's name on it. My mom, not knowing what was inside, told her that she would mail it to Max. It came yesterday and this is what was inside. We LOVE the card!

Thanks, Misty! It brightened all of our day! Max is already on the mend and can't wait to play.

Ridin'

The weather was finally warm enough for us to get out and use the wagon. It was a blast! Max had so much fun (he was bouncin' his head like we were crusin') and we can't wait to do it again. Let's just pray for the weather to stay this nice without an inversion! Gettin' all the gear on... Ready.... in the wagon....(please note my awesome Wellies that I just bought! Love them - they are perfect for walks in the snow.)
Set...... and we are off.... Go!
Thanks Tia and Lee we LOVE the wagon!!!

Little Sophie

Sophie Jean Larson was born this afternoon, and is just perfect! I can't believe that Joanna is still sane with having a two year old, buying and remodeling a house, being pregnant and now having a newborn. What a woman!

My Very Own ATW...

My very own Radio Flyer Wagon...ATW (All Terrain Wagon). Aunt Atia and Uncle Lee love me so much they gave me for Christmas a red wagon and I can't wait to break it in. Thanks Atia and Lee. I love my wagon!

Dad putting together my new ATW...I can't wait until he is finished.

Almost finished, one last touch...Go Utes!

So what do you think? Do you want a ride... oh wait want to pull me around?

Hospital Stay

Max was such a tropper in the hospital with many pokes and pricks from needles. After a couple of days he was perking up. Everyone had to come in and see him cause he would always smile. Even with all the attention, I am sure he was still happy to leave. Who would want to spend every night behind bars?

His favorite was getting pulled around the 4th floor in a red wagon.

This is for my boo boo's and still...mom took away my treat!! That was a bad idea! He threw the biggest fit ever! We are in big trouble when he gets older.

A Christmas To Remember!

Christmas 2008 will definitely go down in the books as one to remember! It was Mr. Maxwell's first Christmas and we were excited to celebrate it with family in Brianhead, UT. Christmas Day was wonderful with opening gifts, eating the traditional Christmas morning breakfast, playing with new toys/gadgets and shoveling snow.

"What do you want to do first? Open presents? Have breakfast? Or do chores?"

Christmas Nativity with Eric and Carolyn's kids. Katie made a wondeful star and halo out of some gold foil she found on the potatoes...clever girl.

Max of course was thrilled to be a part of the Nativity and loved to wear Katie's props.

A young Jedi with his new light saber. "May the force be with you."
Katie enjoying Christmas morning.

Vanessa with her new Razor scooter.

This was Max's very first Christmas and he may not have cared or understood but it was fun to see him play with his new cars, blankets, trains and books.

Grandma Snow made Max his very own church book. Thank Phyllis we love it and will put it to good use! Anything to keep this guy quite and maybe sitting still for a few seconds!

If you wanted to know where Clu was during the Christmas weekend...all bets were on I-15 Hwy either heading North or South...He kept the roads warm!

The rest of the weekend happened to be not so much fun! Clu was a sport with work, driving back and forth and trying spending time with us. "A lot of windshield time" as Steven would say. He drove back to Salt Lake Christmas night barely missing the biggest storm we have had this year. Went to work the day after and then drove all the way back to St George (pit stop in Brianhead to pick up the car) from Provo.

The next morning he woke up early to help his family get out of all the snow in Brianhead. They had helped "dig" out Steven's car so that he coulld drive us down to St. George the day before (more on this a little later). When he got there he towed out vehicles from the snow, stayed a bit to eat breakfast and then again back on the road to St George. Finally on Sunday he packed up his things and left Max and I with Steven and Phyllis and drove back to Salt Lake.

We all had a wonderful time with family on Christmas but sad that we didn't get to spend much time with them. Max was very sick Christmas night and early the next morning Steven drove us all the way to St George. Max was admitted into the hospital with a lung infection and pneumonia.

This was a crazy Christmas, but we are so BLESSED to have family and friends that were there to help in our time of need! We are happy to say that Max is on the mend and almost back to his old self (BUSY)! I'm glad we had Dr. Howard around to come and take care of him in the hospital.
