Paperless

We are so excited to announce that our house is finally paperless, wallpaper less that is!

This bathroom was floor to ceiling floral paper

It has taken a long time (almost all 2200 sqft was covered) but we are glad to see white walls, which hasn't lasted long. I can not take credit for any of it. Clu has done all of the hard work (with a little help from Mr. Max see workin' hard). He has done an excellent job and has now moved on to painting.

The ceiling has gone from dingy white to bright white, the walls have become a soft brown, and the crown molding will be white (which hasn't been painted yet). This is to hopefully show some of Clu's hard work (with the help from Steven). It is definately a process but well worth it to see the transformation.

As Clu's niece Vanessa said "Clu can fix it, he can fix anything!"

Contortionist

Max loves to lick the bottom of his shoes (yuck, I know)! I will get his shoes out and before I put them on him, he licks or tries to lick the bottom of the shoe. Yes, we are working on this one. He knows that it is "kaka" and will lick them and then say "kaka" but does it anyway. So...on the ride home from our errands today I looked in the rearview mirror and saw this:He was licking his shoe, but it was on his foot! It looked painful to watch the stretch but of course he was just fine with it. He was telling me "kaka" but was really enjoying himself. We are going to have to work on this one, because that is just not right!
Disclosure: This picture was taken while we were parked at our house. I was not taking a picture and driving at the same time. He continued to lick the shoe until we got home (so kind of him) and so I took a picture.

Finished Product

The latest completed project with my new sewing machine. I am learning to be more domestic and I love it! I sent my mom this picture and she said that the bag was cute, but the little boy in the tub was cuter! I didn't know he was in the picture when I had taken it (with my phone). I went back to check it out and thought he looked too cute to re-take a picture of just the bag, so enjoy checking both of them out.

What I always wanted

Well, I might have exaggerated a little bit....I didn't ALWAYS want a sewing machine, but have wanted one for some time now. I kept talking about all the things I could do if I had a sewing machine, and borrowed my mother’s to make a couple of ugly dolls for Christmas and some curtains for Max’s room. I was trying to find a way to just keep my mom’s machine hoping she wouldn’t notice. Santa must've known because it showed up on Christmas morning wrapped so nicely. I have already sewn a couple of projects (including hemming a bunch of pants since I am a shortie) and have a bunch more that I can't wait to work on. There just aren't enough hours in the day! Max really wants to help and so he comes and tries to push the buttons (thank goodness it is mechanical and not electrical), so it has become a project for when Clu is home. I love it, love it, LOVE IT! Thanks Santa!

littlest angel

Last night Max went into his room and I assumed he was playing. He had been in there awhile and so Clu went in to check on him. He was sitting on the floor looking at books, which he does often, but tonight he decided to add a little action to the "book reading"...

Clu did nothing, but film the whole thing...then I come to check on the two of them and Clu tells me what he did. I went into "handle" the situation and Clu got the whole thing on film. I know my mom will love to see this cause a I wasn't an angel ALL of the time.

Kris Kingle

At our house Kris Kingle (Santa's wife) brings everything that Santa forgot. She does this on New Year's Eve. This is how it went down at our house...

9:30 - going downstairs to see what she brought...
9:31 - eyeing all the loot
9:34 - Playing with all the loot
9:45 - Stopping for 2 seconds to help Daddy open his present
10:56 - Daddy put together the Nerf hoop and he was set for the rest of the day! No need to take Papa's basketball...he got one of his own.

Thanks G&G Snow!

I love my Snow(man) family!

Christmas

Christmas Eve...party, party, party!
Max playing with the Nativity
Brittany, Alyvia, Emma & the Christmas Eve spread
Playing with Uncle Lee
Opening presents from the cousins
Showing Aunt Tia the new Christmas PJ's
Christmas Day...way to much fun! Max was exhausted after opening presents and visiting cousins, but he loved talking to Uncle Zac on the phone!
Opening presents from Nanny & Papa...books

Finding homemade cars and an orange in the stocking

(he was sure the orange should be used as a ball).

We had a wonderful Christmas, and loved seeing all our family and friends. May our New Year be full of love and adventure!
