Owls

This whole summer I kept telling Clu and we should take Max to a baseball game. Well, I guess he got sick of hearing me say that and decided to take matters into his own hands. He found us tickets to the Owls game (I think it is a pioneer league) and invited Gpa and Gma Snow to come.
It was a HIT! He watched almost the whole game (we left early since it was way past bedtime at 9:30 - going into the 10th inning). He loved the Hot Dog, popcorn and "spicy" or soda. Max and grandpa went for a walk to stretch legs in the 7th inning and Max came back with a bat and a ball. Grandpa is such a softie (that must be where Clu gets it from). He was SO nice to get Max the bat and ball. He has brought them home and has been playing T-ball with it.
(Grandpa opening the bat and ball for Max)We will definately have to do it again. Thanks G&G for coming!

Conversation

My conversation with Max went like this:

Mom: Max do you want a baby bro or baby sis?
Max: No
Mom: Hmmm, do you want a baby girl or baby boy?
Max: Baby Girl
Mom: So you want a baby sister?
Max: No, baby girl
Mom: Okay, then we can have a baby girl but no baby sister?
Max: Just baby girl

Well Max is going to get his wish (sort of), We are having a baby girl (perinatologist is 98% sure), but I hope he will get used to the idea of a baby sister too since that is what he will have. What a joy this little kid is, you can't help loving what little kiddos say.

Good Day

I do occasionally have a good day and we celebrate them! This particular day Max and I made "cupcapes" and he sang Happy Birthday while we did (I am not sure how he put cupcakes and birthday together because he has never been to a party besides his 2yr old party.) Good thing these weren't to share because Max dipped his finger in almost every cupcake tin (before we baked them). I love these little reminders that Max was worth all the sickness and this little one will be too!

Licking the bowl...

And making a mess

Big bite after we dipped our finger in each one.
Max loved eating the "cupcapes", between Clu and Max they were gone in 2 days. I asked him what he wanted for lunch yesterday and he told me "cupcape". Too bad the boys had already eaten them all.

tan lines

I looked at these boys the other day and they both have the same "golf" tan lines. Max does not like to wear sandals and so his is from our walks and trips to the park wearing shoes. We all know where Clu's came from, but I am sure that next year we will be saying that they both came from playing on the course.

Big BOy Bed

We have been talking about a big boy bed for awhile now. So far he has been thrilled with it and will go check his room to make sure it is still there. I love this little boy! He is such an observer and loves to help his dad. Here is the bed transformation and Max working on it.
1. Goodbye Crib (which I was a little sad about. He can climb out of it but chooses not to and would actually nap during nap time. I was worried that he would play instead nap but so far he has napped!)
2.Daddy and Max working on taking apart the crib. Dad got his tools and so Max ran and got his.
3. Workin' with Dad

4. Mr. Observant saw exactly what daddy did and so he had to do the same.
5. Finished for now. He has a mattress, pillow, sheets, down comforter and guard. It is the "best I can do" (more on that later) for now.

6. He loves it and you can't ask for more than that (what do you think, Marcus).

..."it's a Sally!"...

This kid of ours just doesn't miss anything... I was out shopping and checking out at the store and would you believe it..."Sally" (Cars movie character) was really there! To explain, our Max has been asking and asking for "Sally" to add to his little Cars collection. We generally will take a peek in the toy isle for her hoping one day she would be available to purchase. Well to make a long story short we've been looking for quite some time. (Ebay of course will list the car for an outrageous amount.) Then out of the blue...who happens to SPOT ..."it's a Sally!". Our little guy! Of course I bought the car and told him we would open it at home. He held the package close to him all the way home. When we arrived, the first thing out of his mouth was "Dad! It's a Sally!... "Tank Ewe"...Open peeeeas!" Oh to be young again and find the simplest things in life to make us content

17 weeks

17 weeks, ugh...only 17 weeks I wish I was 32. This pregnancy has been a rollercoaster ride. Some days are pretty good (I only throw up about 4 times) and others are awful (throwing up too many times to count and have to go in for IV's). So who knows what each day will be like (it is a mystery to us all). I guess by the picture you can tell that I am pretty drained. The good part is that once the baby is here I magically stop throwing up, so heres to 17 more weeks (and they better hurry)!

Bowling Ball

I feel like I am carrying a bowling ball but really it is only the size of an avocado. We (including Maxer) are excited to be expecting #2. I have been almost as sick as with Max but thanks to our AMAZING families we are surviving. Max has been spoiled rotten with attention from Daddy, G&G's and Aunt's & Uncles while I lay on the couch or am leaning over the toliet (is that TMI?). Max has also mastered the throwing up by spitting in the toliet and then flushing. Amazing how these little ones catch on so fast.
We are almost 17 weeks and have gained a pound! Baby (boy or girl?) is healthy and we can't wait to meet the little critter on Jan. 16th.
